History
The modern name assigned to the southernmost gate of Dūr-Šarrukīn's northeast wall. The ancient name of Gate 2 is not known, but it has been suggested that it was the Šamaš Gate, the Enlil Gate, the Mullissu Gate, and the Adad Gate.
