Tel Batash, an archaeological site located in the Sorek Valley of modern Israel, lies northwest of Beit Shemesh. This site has been identified as the ancient Timnath or Timnah, a Philistine city in Canaan.

This place is not to be confused with other similar or nearly identical toponyms. It is distinct from the Timna Valley, a site of copper mining, located near Eilat, Israel. It is also distinct from Qasr Timnah located near the same valleyIt is also distinct from the place Tamna in Yemen.
