The site of the Phaleron cemetery in Attica, also referred to as "Phaleron Delta", was documented during construction works for the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Centre. During 2012-2013 an area of some 3,000 square meters was excavated, expanding upon a site first identified in the early twentieth century. Some 1,069 graves (eighth to fifth centuries B.C.) were documented.
