- Abundant spolia, artifacts, and building foundations provide evidence for an ancient settlement in the area of modern Kastro ano Diakopto and the church of Ag. Athanasios on the hill above it to the west. It is probably to be identified with ancient Boura, an attested settlement of Achaia.

- A complex of structures dating to the Greek and Roman period, with ceramic evidence of prior occupation of the vicinity, on a spur of Palióvouno, overlooking a valley leading to the bay of Saránda on the Korinthian Gulf. The excavators associate this site with the attested classical city of Khorsiai on the basis of epigraphic evidence recovered at the site.
