- Acherusia Palus, now known as Lago del Fusaro or Lake Fusaro, is a lake located in the Italian community of Bacoli. The acropolis of Cumae is about 1.5 km from the lakeshore. The lake itself is separated from the sea by a narrow strip of land. The lake has also been noted since antiquity for the presence of freshwater springs and the quality of its oysters and mussels.
