- Cubin is a place included on the Peutinger map. Richard Talbert offers a discussion about the toponym, suggesting that the cartographer may have confused Cvbin with Curubis (BAtlas 32 G3). The resolution of the issue is unclear.

- The temple of the god Šamaš, Edikukalama (“House of the Judge of the Land”), was located in the Kumar district of Babylon, in the western half of the inner city. According to the Babylonian topographical text Tintir = Babylon Tablet IV, it was one of seven temples in that part of Babylon. Edikukalama is attested in the Old Babylonian Period and it was rebuilt in the Neo-Babylonian Period by Nebuchadnezzar II (r. 604–562 BC).
