  • A Roman amphitheater located at Agbia in what is now Tunisia (Henchir Ain Hedja).
    Creators: Jeffrey Becker
    Contributors:
  • Alonianum was a place in Africa that is included on the Peutinger map. It is likely a road station positioned along the way from Thelepte to Tacapae via the palus Tritonis.
    Creators: Richard Talbert

  • Now unlocated, Altessera was likely a road station in North Africa. Based on its inclusion on the Peutinger map, it lies along the route from Althiburos to Assuras.

  • The Theater of Nero located in the Vaticanus Ager is relatively little known and receives little attention in the ancient sources. Archaeological discoveries announced in the summer of 2023 seem to point to remains of the theater preserved beneath the courtyard of the Palazzo della Rovere located between the Borgo Santo Spirito and the Via della Conciliazione. The first-century CE theater seems to have been dismantled by the second-century CE.

  • A settlement in Byzacena that is now unlocated. Based on its inclusion in the Peutinger map, this place is located along the road leading from Capsa to Tacape.
