Last week the Pleiades editorial college published 6 new place resources and approved updates to 56 existing place resources.

New Place Resources

  • The Amphitheater of Micia.

  • Settlement on the northern shore of Lake Neuchâtel in Switzerland containing the inundated remains of a Bronze Age village, inhabited ca. 1010-955 BC.

  • Roman-era cemetery in the Crimea with 332 burial structures containing 500 bodies and 20,000 artifacts. The site was destroyed with the creation of the Taurida Expressway.

  • A circular Roman mausoleum was located at the Keston Roman villa. It dates to the third century CE and is located in a cemetery to the north of the villa.

  • Loughcrew (County Meath, Ireland) is the site of a funereal landscape of the fourth millennium BCE that includes more than twenty megalithic tombs spread across four hilltop areas: Carnbane East, Carnbane West, Carrickbrack, and Patrickstown Hill.
