A Roman camp with baths and associated settlement were identified at modern Souk El Arbaa in Morocco in the late 19th and 20th centuries on high ground occupied by a qubba called "Sidi Aïssa". Although ancient structures and settlement extent identified previously are not visible in modern satellite imagery, the site -- bisected by a rail line predating 1941 and occupied by a cemetery and more recent structures -- can still be correlated closely with previously published photographs and plans. Recent scholarly opinion diverges from that reflected in the Barrington Atlas to lean toward identifying this site with ancient (Vo)psiciana (q.v.), attested by Ptolemy, the Antonine Itinerary, and the Ravenna Cosmographer.
