An important town of the Middle Elamite period discovered at the archaeological site of Haft Tepe in southwestern Iran. The site was an important center of the Elamite kingdom in the 15th century BCE, and also shows signs of inhabitation from the Parthian to the Early Islamic periods.

Base map by Ryan M. Horne for Pleiades and the Ancient World Mapping Center (ancient terrain after the Barrington Atlas). Map interaction design and implementation by Sean Gillies, David Glick, Alec Mitchell, and Tom Elliott for Pleiades.
