History
The Monastery of Saint Benedict or Monastero di San Benedetto Sacro Speco. The Shrine of the Sacred Cave of St. Benedict (Sacro Speco di San Benedetto) at Subiaco is a significant monastic shrine connected to the Roman Catholic saint Benedict. At the site is found a fresco-adorned cave linked to the saint, dating to the eighth century.
