Not sure what you can do about it, but Polybius 9.27.3 puts the Hypsas river very specifically next to Agrigento, e.g. 37.3028 ,13.5651, hitting the sea as Fiume San Leone at 37.2657,13.5789. Ptolemaeus 3.4.5 agrees. Only Livy places it on the Selinous side of Herakleia Minoa. So either there are two Hypsas rivers or more likely the Italian communis opinio loyally follows Pliny.
