The Ptolemaic Kingdom was a Hellenistic kingdom founded by Ptolemy I Soter, which was primarily centered on Egypt. It was absorbed into the Roman Empire in 30 BCE following Octavian's victory over Mark Antony and Cleopatra VII Philopator at the battle of Actium in 31 BCE.
