An archaeological site located in the territory of the eponymous frazione of the Italian municipality of Agrigento, Sicily. A middle and late Bronze Age fortified settlement dating to the fourteenth to thirteenth / twelfth centuries BCE has been discovered. Archaeologists deem it to be an important center of maritime trade. The site is located some seven kilometers southeast of the historic center of Agrigento and it sits on a flat hill located near the Naro River, about 1.5 kilometers from the coast.
