An ancient settlement of eastern Opuntian Lokris mentioned only by Pausanias. BAtlas followed Fossey 1990 and earlier scholars in tentatively associating it with a Hellenistic tower near the modern village of Kolakas / Karaouli, which has subsequently been renamed Kyrtoni by virtue of the association. Katsonopoulou 1990 (an unpublished dissertation) separately identified Kyrtones with the unexcavated settlement site of Monachou/Palio Chorio.
