History
This ancient settlement site, with remains of a fortified acropolis and lower town, is located just south of modern Ag. Marina in Thessaly (Greece). Modern scholars consider it a likely identification for ancient Patronis/Tronis/Troneia, which is mentioned in ancient sources.
