History
A forum venalium of ancient Rome linked to the sale of pork, the Forum Suarium is mentioned in two inscriptions dating ca. 200 CE. The forum lay near the barracks of the urban cohorts (cohortes urbanae) in the northern portion of the Campus Martius, perhaps near the location of the present Via di Propaganda in metropolitan Rome.
