Gyaros is an island in the Aegean Sea, located to the south of Andros. The geographer Strabo visited the island in 29 B.C.

In the Aeneid, Virgil relates the story that Apollo anchored the island to Delos to Gyaros and Mykonos to prevent it from wandering.
