An embayment of the Mediterranean Sea on the southern coastline of Crete, some 7 km east of Cape Lithinon, 2 km west of Lasaia, and 10 km west of Lebena. The location is noted for the visit of the Christian apostle St. Paul in ca. 47 CE.
