A large Pompeian townhouse belonging to one Q. Poppaeus Sabinus at the time of its destruction (I, 10, 4, 14-16).

Base map by Ryan M. Horne for Pleiades and the Ancient World Mapping Center (ancient terrain after the Barrington Atlas). Map interaction design and implementation by Sean Gillies, David Glick, Alec Mitchell, and Tom Elliott for Pleiades.

Based on a seal from room 43, along with graffito evidence, the owner of the house has been identified by some scholars as one Q. Poppaeus Sabinus (Della Corte 1953: nos. 592-3).
