"Sioua" is the Greek reconstruction of an ancient toponym (found in Egyptian sources: S·t-wȝḥ) that encompassed some part of the western end of the Dakhla Oasis in Egypt (certainly the site now known as Deir al-Haggar was included, and possibly also Amheida).

Base map by Ryan M. Horne for Pleiades and the Ancient World Mapping Center (ancient terrain after the Barrington Atlas). Map interaction design and implementation by Sean Gillies, David Glick, Alec Mitchell, and Tom Elliott for Pleiades.
