A Meroitic temple complex in modern Sudan, located 180 km northeast of Khartoum, 20 km north of Naqa and approximately 25 km south-east of the Nile. The complex dates to the early Meroitic period (third century B.C.). In 2011 the site was enrolled as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
