This site is the typesite for the Tiszapolgár or Tiszapolgár-Româneşti culture, an Eneolithic archaeological culture. This archaeological culture has been identified on the Great Hungarian Plain and elsewhere in eastern, central Europe. It dates ca. 4500-4000 BCE.
