Last week the Pleiades editorial college published 12 new and 275 updated place resources, reflecting the work of Jeffrey Becker, Tom Elliott, Carolin Johansson, Brady Kiesling, Chris de Lisle and Gabriel Mckee.

  • al-Husn Church
    A ruined and now largely dispersed fifth-century CE church on the outskirts of al-Bara, Syria.

  • Arch of Marcus Antonius
    The so-called "Arch of Marcus Antonius" takes its name from a local tradition that the citizens of Aquinum built the monument in a single day to honor Antonius. In all likelihood, it is a monument connected either to a deductio of veterans sent to Aquinum in 41 BCE or to the work of Caius Calvisius Sabinus who reorganized the via Latina in 27 BCE.

  • Arslan Kaya monument
    The rock-cut "Arslan Kaya monument" located just west of Lake Emre in Turkey is in the Phrygian Highlands. The monument carries an inscription in Old Phrygian to the goddess Materan.

  • Aşağımollahasan höyük
    Aşağımollahasan höyük is a prehistoric höyük located in Özalp, Turkey.

  • Boncuklu Tarla
    Boncuklu Tarla is an archaeological site located in the Mardin province of Turkey. The human settlement was occupied from the Late Epipalaeolithic to Pre-Pottery Neolithic B periods.

  • Burbia River
    The Río Burbia is a river in the northern interior of the Iberian Peninsula. it is located to the north of the El Bierzo region in the province of León.

  • Carceri Vecchie
    The so-called "le Carceri Vecchie" is a first-century CE Roman mausoleum. Its original position on the Via Appia placed it outside the walls of ancient Capua.

  • Kalugumalai, Mangulam
    Hill near the village of Mangulam in Tamil Nadu. The hill contains several rock caves used by Jain monks and six Tamil-Brahmi inscriptions dated to the third-second centuries BCE.

  • Karahan Tepe
    Karahan Tepe is an archaeological site covering some 10 hectares located in Turkey's Şanlıurfa Province. More than 250 t-shaped monuments have been discovered at the site which is associated with the so-called Tepeler cultures. Karahan Tepe lies within the environs of Gôbekli Tepe and may pre-date that site.

  • Norşuntepe
    Norşuntepe is the site of a Chalcolithic and Iron Age tell located in Turkey's Elazığ Province. Excavations led by Harald Hauptmann between 1968 and 1974 identified 40-some occupational horizons stretching from the fifth millennium BCE to the Iron Age. It is now partially inundated by Lake Keban.

  • Sanctuary of Zeus Aphesios (Megarid)
    Pausanias mentions the Sanctuary of Zeus Aphesios as being located atop a mountain. The site was excavated ca. 1890 and has views over the Saronic Gulf.

    Settlement in Uttar Pradesh, India containing remains dated from the pre-Painted Grey Ware period (1200 BCE) through the Kushana period (3rd century CE).
