- Abai was an ancient town in Phocis, said to have been founded by the Argive Abas. It has been identified with a hilltop, fortified archaeological site known as Palaiokhori, near modern Exarchos. The site of an oracular sanctuary of Apollo and Artemis associated with Abai in ancient literature has been identified at nearby Kallipodi.

- A multi-period burial site located in the northwest of modern Ir-Rabat, Malta. Archaeological evidence points to first use of the site in the Punic and Roman periods. A quarry of possible Roman date was used in the construction of Byzantine-period hypogea. Further modifications were made in the late Medieval (post-Muslim) period, prior to abandonment of the site.
