Place ‘Locidae Regi’ by A.G. Poulter — last modified Oct 17, 2022 01:45 PM
‘Locidae Regi’ is attested on the Peutinger Map, but there is little clarity as to whether it describes the name of a tribal group or of a region. Talbert indicates that Konrad Miller favored a reading that took the term as two words, i.e., "Locidae Regi" instead of as one word, i.e. "Locideregi". The evidence from the Peutinger Map does not offer the chance for a definitive determination.
