- The Roman dam at Cornalvo is a gravity dam with associated reservoir and aqueduct. It dates to the first or second century AD. The earthen dam and its stone cladding remain in use. The site is a part of the Archaeological Ensemble of Mérida, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
