- Javangaleh is a modern settlement situated near Ajabšir (Maragheh) in the East Azerbaijan Province in the northwest of Iran. Here a rock inscription of Argišti I (eighth century BCE) was found which reports his victory over the land Mana (CTU I A 8-13).

- Kadembas (Katepants) is a modern settlement in the Van Province in the Southeast of Turkey. Here several rock inscriptions of the Urartian king Minua (9th / 8th century BCE) were found which report the construction of the “Canal of Minua” which is still in use today. Furthermore a rock inscription of Tariria, wife of Minua, (9th / 8th century BCE) is located here which attributes a vineyard to her belongings.

- Kaisaran (Kaissaran, Kayseran Ekece) is a modern mountain village in the mountains east of the Keşiş Gölü ("Priest Lake"), an artificial lake created by Rusa, son of Erimena (probably 8th century BCE). At an elevation of 2,780 m above the village (more than an hour’s difficult ascent) a rock inscription of probably the same ruler was found in the late 19th century. Another rock inscription and a stela of Rusa, son of Erimena have been found in other places in the vicinity of the lake. These are the rock inscriptions situated in Erek Dağ (CTU I A 14-3) and the so-called Keşiş Göl stela (CTU I A 14-1) whose upper part has been found at Gövelek.

- Kalecik (formerly known as Aralesk or Lesk) is a modern village situated ca. 5 km north of Van Kalesi in southeast Turkey. In the village church, a re-used cylindrical stone (presumably a column base) with a building inscription of the Urartian king Išpuini, son of Sarduri I (ninth century BCE), was found. Furthermore, a re-used stone slab with an inscription of the Urartian king Argišti, son of Minua and grandson of Išpuini (eighth century BCE) has also been found here.

- Kaleköy is a modern village situated ca. 15 km northeast of Mazgirt and ca. 90 km to the north-northeast of Elaziğ in the southeast of Turkey. In the cliff face above the village, lies an Urartian rock-cut tomb. At the left of its entrance is a rock-cut inscription of the Urartian king Rusa, son of Argišti II (seventh century BCE) (CTU I A 12-6). Nowadays the inscription is heavily damaged.

- Kantarodai is the name of a small, modern neighborhood in Chunnakam town in northern Sri Lanka. Archaeological excavations there have produced both local and imported pottery as well as mainland Indian and Roman coins.

- Karagündüz (Armenian name: Charakonis) is a modern village on the eastern coast of Lake Erceç in southeastern Turkey. Here a stela with an inscription of the Urartian kings Išpuini (9th century BCE) and Minua (9th / 8th century BCE) was found which praises the victory over the cites Mešta, Qua, Šaritu, and Nigibi and the land Paršua and gives detailed information about the numbers of soldiers, spoils and deportees (CTU I A 3-9). Furthermore, a partially preserved stela authored by Minua, son of Išpuini, has been found alone (CTU I A 5-86).

- Karataş is a modern settlement situated at the northern bank of Lake Van and 2 km in the east of Erciş in the southeast of Turkey. Here two rock inscriptions of the Urartian king Sarduri II., son of Argišti (8th century BCE) have been found. One of them is of annalistic contents (CTU A 9-10), the other reports the plantation of a vineyard in this region (CTU A 9-11).

- Kas(h)kar was a significant Sasanian city, originally built on the west bank of the Tigris river in what is now modern Iraq's al-Kut district. A major flood in antiquity moved the channel of the Tigris, leaving Kashkar on the east bank. The city was supplanted by the new city of Wasit, built in the 8th century CE; Kashkar was subsequently abandoned. The original city is presumed to have lain somewhere in the vicinity of the modern residential area northeast of modern Wasit, across the heavily-controlled modern Tigris.
