While consul in 311 BCE, Caius Iunius Bubulcus Brutus vowed the temple of Salus; he would later dedicate it as dictator in 302 BCE. While no physical remains of the temple are known, textual and epigraphic testimony suggest that it would have been located near the present-day Piazza del Quirinale.

A church that many claim marks the birthplace of Jesus Christ is located in Bethlehem, now in the State of Palestine in the West Bank. The original church built on the site was commissioned by Constantine I and dedicated in May 339 CE. The church was destroyed by fire, likely in 529, and replaced by Justinian I.

Sepolcro dei Pancrazi is a Roman tomb on the Via Latina dated to the late first or early second century CE. It belonged to a collegium funerarium (funerary college) of the Pancratii, a name attested in two extant inscriptions. The burial chambers are well-appointed with floor mosaics and frescoed walls, as well as stucco decorations.

A statue included in the Regionary Catalogue for Regio XIV, the Statua Valeriana evidently honored some members of the gens Valeria. It is possible that this statue in the Transtiberim replaced a bronze equestrian statue that depicted Cloelia or perhaps Valeria, the daughter of Valerius Poplicola, that had stood in summa Sacra Via until it was destroyed by fire prior to the time of Dionysius of Halicarnassus. Based on a Trajanic inscription (CIL 6, 975), the statue lent its name to a vicus.

The last of the great imperial baths of the ancient city of Rome, the Thermae Constantinianae were constructed in Regio VI, perhaps replacing the pre-existing Balineum Claudianum. They were located at the southern end of the Quirinal Hill, between the Vicus Longus and the Alta Semita. Substantial remains existed until the sixteenth century and they were sketched by A. Palladio and E. Du Pérac. The completion of the Palazzo Pallavicini-Rospigliosi in 1621 eliminated the majority of the ancient remains.

John Ward-Perkins identified the archaeological site at Fosso della Crescenza during the South Etruria Survey. Excavations of a Iulio-Claudian mausoleum were undertaken in 1962. Additional excavation revealed portions of the Via Veientana. Post-excavation work did not occur until the 1980s, by which time Fentress 1983 notes that the archaeological landscape had been largely eradicated by the burgeoning growth of suburban Rome.

Tell Tayinat (ancient Kunulua) is a large site (comprising both a sizeable citadel and a sprawling lower town) located at the northern bend of the Orontes River, ca. 30 km southeast of Antakya (ancient Antioch). Strategically located, this fortified city served as a royal capital for various historically-attested Bronze and Iron Age kingdoms (ca. 3200-600 B.C.). In 738 B.C., the Assyrian king Tiglath-pileser III conquered Kunulua (alternately called Kinalua), then the royal city of Syro-Hittite kingdom of Patina, annexed it, and transformed it into an important provincial administrative center. Textual evidence found at the site (e.g., a large tablet inscribed with a copy of Esarhaddon’s Succession Treaty) leaves little doubt that Kunulua should be identified as Tell Tayinat.

"Aedes Summanus" or "Templum Summanus" was a temple built near the Circus Maximus during the war with Pyrrhus. It could have been located on the slope of the Aventine Hill. The temple was likely built after lightning struck the terracotta statue of Summanus included in the pedimental sculpture of the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus on the Capitoline Hill, causing the statue's head to be flung into the river Tiber.
