A large karstic grotto and cave, known today as Cennet ve Cehennem, which is located about 7km from Corycus in Cilicia. It was described by Mela, Apollodorus, and Strabo and was associated with the Titan Python in Greek mythology. It is not to be confused with the well-known Corycian Cave on mount Parnassos in Greece.

While consul in 311 BCE, Caius Iunius Bubulcus Brutus vowed the temple of Salus; he would later dedicate it as dictator in 302 BCE. While no physical remains of the temple are known, textual and epigraphic testimony suggest that it would have been located near the present-day Piazza del Quirinale.

The Ain Dara temple, an archaeological site located near the village of Ain Dara, in Afrin, Syria, was the location of an Iron Age Syro-Hittite temple. The structure was noted for the similarities it bore to Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem. The site was in use from ca. 1300 until 740 BCE. It finds comparison with the temples at Emar, Mumbaqa, and Ebla's Temple D. In January 2018 the ruins of the temple were substantially damaged by air strikes carried out by the Turkish Air Force during the Afrin offensive. The site also subsequently suffered further damage, wanton destruction, and looting.

Mycenae was an ancient settlement of the Argolid, with the earliest occupation evident ca. 2900 B.C. As the eponymous site of the Mycenaean culture of the Aegean Bronze Age, the site flourished as a fortified citadel during the mid to late second millennium B.C. In the first millennium B.C., the site experienced a revival of fortunes, although by Strabo's time the settlement had vanished.
