History
A kingdom located in northern Tabal, in the vicinity of modern Kayseri. This area was briefly under Assyrian control during the reign of the eighth-century-BC king Sargon II (r. 721-705 BC).

Pleiades
In 713 BC, Sargon II of Assyria conquered Bīt-Purutaš and established it as an Assyrian province. Two years later, in 711 BC, Bīt-Purutaš freed itself of Assyrian control. It has been suggested that Kululu, a city ca. 60 km northeast of Kayseri, was the capital of Bīt-Purutaš.
