Metropolis was an ancient city-state in Asia Minor whose location is now unknown. It is thought to be located near Priapos on the southern coast of the Propontis; it was have been founded by Priapos. Epigraphic evidence indicates that Metropolis was a member of the Delian League. Hansen argues that it was a polis.
