A number of the data fields in Pleiades are governed by controlled vocabularies, lists of terms and their definitions that constitute the only valid values for those fields.
Consult the Vocabularies section, for a list of the vocabularies in use in Pleiades. Each vocabulary can be browsed down to the individual term level.
Contact the editors via pleiades.admin@nyu.edu to request the addition of new terms to any of the vocabularies.
