- A Roman fort and a series of five associated enclosures situated on a hilltop overlooking the valley of the River Okement to the northwest and Okehampton town to the southwest. Excavations suggest that the site was occupied ca. A.D. 50-80.

- Remains of polygonal masonry fortification are extant at Olevano Romano in Italy, which is presumed to be the site of a fortified oppidum of the Aequi. The modern comune of Olevano Romano is located in Lazio, about 45 km to the east of Rome. Pre-Roman polygonal masonry walls underlie medieval architecture in the centro storico.
