  • Ad Cahalis (or Ad Cazalis) was a road station in ancient Numidia. It was located along the road from Theveste to Thamugas.

  • A toponym used in the later part of the Roman Republican period to describe the portion of the Esquiline plateau that lay outside the porta Esquilina. Its limits are unknown, although Strabo has it located to the north of the via Labicana.

  • Chalasmenos is an archaeological site that preserves remains of a Late Minoan (LM) IIIC settlement. This site is located on a low hill (240 m asl) immediately to the south of the Cha Gorge near Monastiraki in eastern Crete.

  • Recent geophysical investigation and analysis have led to a new reconstruction of the main harbor of Delos ca. 100 BCE that identifies a shallow-draft (1-2m) harbor with broad beach area significantly different from the modern situation. Infill of wetland areas for construction in antiquity, combined with contemporary and subsequent sea level rise, dredging, and modern interventions have all contributed to the coastline change.

  • An ancient tell located approximately 24 km from the city center of Van. Dilkaya Höyüğü is located just west of Dilkaya Village in the southwest of the Edremit district. It lies on the northern side of Hoşap Stream, on the shores of Lake Van.

  • The remains of a private domus that date to the second and third centuries CE and include a Mithraeum. This complex eventually became incorporated into the fourth-century basilica on the site of the later basilica of San Clemente al Laterano.

  • An Etruscan sanctuary that was founded at the end of the 5th century BCE and saw activity as late as the reign of Nero. Evidence has also been found for activity in the area during the Neolithic and the Bronze Age. The site is located on the southern shore of the Lac de Bolsena in the modern Italian municipality of Montefiascone.

  • The Minor Basilica of St. Mary in Domnica alla Navicella, also known as Santa Maria in Domnica, is a Roman Catholic church in Rome, Italy. The basilica has ancient origins, with likely foundations in the fifth century A.D.

  • The archaeological site of Tell Umm Amer in the Gaza Strip is included on the Madaba Map under the name "Tabatha". The site was the birthplace in 291 CE of Saint Hilarion who founded an eponymous monastery there. The monastery was destroyed in 614.

  • A hilltop archaeological site (Paliokastro) located approximately 3km west southwest of the modern Greek town of Terpni (Serres regional unit). Its ancient name is uncertain; some scholars have suggested it be identified with "Graero," which is named on the Peutinger map. Excavations have produced evidence for habitation as early as the 6th century BCE, remains of a Roman-era spa and basilica, and continued (re)use into the 6th century CE.
